The Stock Items list is your day-to-day ledger view: what each item is worth, how fast it moves, and where opening and closing balances stand.

Open the list

  1. Go to Inventory > Stock Item.
  2. Read the summary cards first: Total Stock Value, Restocked this week, and Low Stock Items.

What each column means

  • SN - row number
  • Stock Item - item name
  • Group - stock group, when assigned - How to Create and Manage Stock Groups
  • Consumption Rate - how quickly the item is used relative to sales and deductions
  • Opening - balance at the start of the period you are viewing
  • Closing - current or period-end balance after movements
  • Stock Value - value of that item in Rs
  • Supplier - linked vendor when one is set - How to Add and Manage Suppliers

How to read the numbers together

Opening plus receipts, minus consumption and other outs, should explain Closing. Stock Value ties quantity to rate. When Low Stock Items rises, plan a restock before service slows down.
