Viewing Stock History and Audit Logs

Review historical inventory movements, purchases, sales deductions, and adjustments when balances need explaining.

Stock history and audit logs show how inventory moved over time: purchases, sales deductions, production, and manual changes. Use them when a balance needs explaining.

What you can track

  • Historical inventory movements for each stock item
  • Purchase and restock activity
  • Sales deductions from linked dishes
  • Manual adjustments and other recorded changes

How to review

  1. Start from Inventory > Stock Item to identify the item whose Opening, Closing, or Stock Value looks unexpected.
  2. Open that item's history or audit views from the on-screen actions your build provides (follow labels on the Stock Items row or detail screen).
  3. Compare each movement to what happened in the restaurant: a delivery, a busy service, a production batch, or a correction.

Stay with the controls shown in your restaurant. This guide does not invent extra filter names beyond what Inventory already surfaces.

What happens next

After you confirm the trail, fix the root cause (mapping, unit, missed purchase, or production entry) so the next period's Closing stays trustworthy.
