Creating a Single Dish Manually

Overview

Add individual food or beverage items to your menu manually with custom pricing, categories, tax mapping, and inventory rules.

Step-by-Step Configuration

1. Navigate to Menu > Dishes from the side navigation panel.
2. Click the + Add New button in the top right and select Add New Dish.
3. Fill in the primary fields:
• Dish Name: Type the title visible to staff and customers.
• Sub-Menu & Category: Assign the item to its respective menu grouping and category.
• Actual Price & Discount: Set the base retail price and any default promotional discounts.

4. Upload a clear Dish Image to display on digital menus and the POS interface.

5. Configure Other Details:

• Tax: Select the applicable tax rate (e.g., GST or VAT).
• Dish Type / Kitchen Route: Assign dietary flags (Veg, Non-Veg) and select the destination KOT printer routing (e.g., Kitchen or Bar).

6. Optional settings include linking Add-Ons / Extras, setting Stock Consumption recipes, writing rich text descriptions, and adjusting Dish Permissions (allowing discounts, loyalty rewards, or complimentary status).

7. Click Save Dish to publish it instantly.
