How to Change Table

Reassign an active dine-in party from one table to another from the order management screens.

When a party moves seats, reassign the active order from one dining table to another from the order management screens so kitchen tickets and the bill stay with the guests.

Before you move anyone

  • Confirm the destination table is Open on the Table tab (or intentionally merge if you are combining parties - How to Merge More Tables).
  • Open the current order so you can see table name, Dishes, and Order Summary.

Reassign the table

  1. From the active order in Orders, use the on-screen table change action your role provides (often under order actions such as More).
  2. Pick the new table, confirm the change, then verify the header now shows the new table name (for example S-2 - Dine In becoming another table label).
  3. Check the Table tab: the old seat should return toward Open and the new seat should show Occupied.

This rewrite does not invent dialog field names beyond what screenshots show. Follow the labels on the change-table prompt in your restaurant.

What happens next
