Stock groups organize items into buckets such as Drinks, Grocery, Meat, Vegetables, or Others. Groups make lists, filters, and reports easier to scan.

Open Stock Group

  1. In the sidebar, open Inventory, then Stock Group.
  2. The Stock Group page shows Total Stock Groups and a table with Group Name, No of Item, and Description.

Create a group

  1. Select + Add New. The Create Stock Group form opens.
  2. Enter Group Name (required).
  3. Add an optional Description so teammates know what belongs in the group.
  4. Select Save Group. Use Reset to clear the form.

Edit a group

  1. On the list, open the row menu (...) for the group you want to change.
  2. In Edit Stock Group, update Group Name or Description.
  3. Select Save Changes, or Discard to leave without saving.

Assign groups to items

When you create or edit a stock item, choose Group on the form (placeholder Select Group for Item). See How to Add a New Stock Item.

With groups in place, build out stock items and suppliers so purchasing and valuation stay organized.
