Using KDS Mode

Open KDS Mode to move KOTs through Pending, Preparing, Ready to pick, Completed, and Cancelled.

KDS Mode is the kitchen display for incoming KOTs. Cooks filter by status, start prep on each dish, and mark tickets served when food leaves the pass.

Open KDS Mode

  1. From Orders, select KDS Mode.
  2. Confirm you see Restrox KDS with status filters across the top.

Work the board

  1. Filter with All, Pending, Preparing, Ready to pick, Completed, or Cancelled.
  2. Use All Kitchen (or another kitchen filter) when stations are split.
  3. On a KOT card, start each dish with Start Preparing.
  4. When the ticket is ready for service, select Mark as Served. Use Print if a paper copy is required.
  5. Watch the right-hand Dish List for consolidated pending counts across tickets.

What happens next

Statuses you set in KDS stay visible on the main KOT board and on each order KOT tab. Front-of-house can then check out the table when guests finish.
