Printers is where you add local or network printers, set paper width, choose auto-print options, and run connection tests. Open it from Settings > Printer.

Before you start

  • For Local printing mode, printers connect over your local network via QZ Tray. Follow the on-page docs link if Direct Printing shows Disconnected.
  • Have the printer name and IP address ready for network printers.

Open Printers

  1. Open Settings for this restaurant.
  2. Select Printer in the settings sidebar.
  3. Review the summary cards: Total Printers (for example 3/50), Direct Printing status, and Printing Mode (for example Local).

Read the printer list

The table lists each printer with columns such as:

  • Printer Name
  • Connection - often the local IP address.
  • Size - paper width such as 80mm.
  • Auto Print Bill
  • Auto Print Full Kot
  • Auto Print Order Slip

Use Search to find a printer, and Test All Printers to verify connections in bulk.

Add a printer

  1. Click + Add New. The Create Printer dialog opens.
  2. Enter Printer Name (required), for example Cafe or Bar1.
  3. Choose Paper Width (required) from the dropdown.
  4. Set Printer Type to Network or USB. For Network, enter IP Address (required).
  5. Under auto-print options, turn Full KOT on when this printer should auto-print the full KOT dish list. Review any additional KOT or related toggles shown below in the dialog.
  6. Save with the confirm control on the dialog, then use Test All Printers or a row action to verify output.

What happens next

Assign printers to KOT types in Configuring KOT Settings, and confirm bill and slip layouts in Configuring Invoice Settings and Customizing Order Slips.
