Users Role is where you see default staff roles and create custom roles with their own permissions. Open it from Settings > Users Role.

Before you start

  • Decide whether you need a default role (Admin, Billing, Kitchen, Server, SuperAdmin) or a custom role.
  • Know which modules the new role should view or edit before you open Create Role.

Open Users Role

  1. Open Settings for this restaurant.
  2. Under General Setting, select Users Role.
  3. Review Default Roles. Each card shows the role name and Total User count.

Read default roles

Default role cards you may see include:

  • Admin
  • Billing
  • Kitchen
  • Server
  • SuperAdmin

Create a custom role

  1. Click + Add New. The Create Role panel opens on the right.
  2. Enter Role Name (required) and an optional Role Description.
  3. Under Select Color (required), pick a color chip so the role is easy to spot.
  4. Under Select Permissions, use the master toggle and the individual Allow switches. Examples shown include View Dashboard, View Table and Space, Edit Table and Space, View Website Settings, and Edit Website Settings. Scroll the list for every permission available in your account.
  5. Save the role with the confirm control on the panel, or close with X to cancel.

What happens next

Assign the new role when you invite or edit staff so permissions match the job. Review sensitive plan access in Managing Billing and Subscriptions, and confirm profile basics in Managing Restaurant Details.
