Sometimes a dish must come off the ticket before checkout. Depending on your permissions, you can remove specific items, void dishes, or cancel KOT orders, and you may be asked for a cancellation reason.
Find the item on the order
- Open the active order from Orders.
- On the Dishes tab, locate the line under its KOT group, or review the same lines in Order Summary.
- Open the item editor (edit control on the dish row) to adjust quantity or remarks in Edit Order Item.

Cancel or void carefully
- Reduce quantity or clear a line when the kitchen has not finished the dish, following the prompts your role allows.
- If the product asks for a cancellation reason, choose an accurate reason so reports stay trustworthy.
- Whole KOT cancellations affect every dish on that ticket. Confirm with the kitchen before you cancel a ticket that is already preparing.
- On Edit Order Item, Cancel closes the dialog without saving edits. That is different from voiding a dish on the order.
Exact cancel buttons can vary by permission. Use only the controls you see for your login, and avoid inventing steps that are not on screen.
What happens next
Updated totals show in Order Summary. The Activity tab records major changes. Continue service or move to checkout when the remaining bill is correct.
