A production batch records how raw input materials become finished (or intermediate) products, with material and optional labour costs in one place.

Before you start

Open Batch Production

  1. Open Inventory, then open Batch Production so you see the Batch Production list.
  2. Columns include TXN Date, Reference, TXN No, Total Material Cost, Total Labour And Overhead Cost, and Total Input Cost.
  3. If empty, you see No stock batch production found with + Add New Batch.

Add a new batch

  1. Select + Add New Batch or + Add New. The Add New Batch screen opens.
  2. Set TXN Date and enter Reference (required).
  3. Optional: use Import From Template when you reuse a known batch layout.

Enter input materials

  1. In Input Materials, for each row choose Stock Item, Unit, and Quantity. Rate and Amount complete the cost line.
  2. Select + Add Input Material for more rows. Review the totals row under the table.
  3. Tick Add Labour and Overhead cost when non-material costs apply.
  4. Tick Add Byproduct when the run creates a secondary product.
  5. Tick Add abnormal loss when you must record unexpected loss.
  6. Complete the Final Products section with the outputs of this batch using the fields shown on screen.
  7. Confirm the summary: Material Cost, Total Input Cost, and Net Cost of Production, then save with the primary action on the form.
