Resetting Restaurant Data
Clear operational restaurant data when you need a clean slate before rebuilding your setup.
Resetting restaurant data clears operational information so you can start fresh while keeping the account you use to manage the restaurant. Use this only when you intend to wipe live data.
When you might reset
- You are cleaning up test or training data before going live.
- You need a clean slate for menus, orders, or other operational records.
- You understand that cleared data may not be recoverable.
Before you reset
- Confirm you are signed in as the account owner or a user who is allowed to manage the restaurant.
- Export or note anything you still need (reports, menus, or billing details) before you clear data.
- Turn on Restaurant alerts under Notification Preferences if you want notices about profile resets - see Configuring Email and Notification Preferences.
How to approach a reset
RestroX treats a data reset as a sensitive account action. Open your profile card, then Profile Setting, and review the sensitive account options carefully before you continue. Follow every confirmation step the product shows so you only clear what you intend.
Do not confuse a full restaurant data reset with smaller tools such as Reset All Counters on Restaurant Details (counter numbers only) or deleting a single item that later appears in Trash.
What happens next
After a successful reset, operational data matching what you confirmed is cleared and you can rebuild menus, tables, and orders as needed. If ownership or the whole restaurant account should change instead, use the related guides below.
